Brand History​
In 1949, three Lyon engineers, along with their families, took their very first family camping vacation. During this trip, the three engineers recognized the lack of basic self-preparation cooking options available to anyone who needed to camp while travelling. They sought out to create a simple, yet revolutionary innovation – the first portable energy solution! A small, blue, portable and refillable gas cylinder, called the ‘Bidon Bleu’. With this little blue gas cylinder, the brand Campingaz® was born.
